Noise-pop is a style of music that combines the catchy hooks and bright melodies of indie pop with the sonic experimentation of shoegaze and noise rock. Who is Love Is Noise Pop?

Love Is Noise Pop is independently run and organized by a small group of musicians and fans devoted to promoting and advancing noise-pop music.

How and why did Love Is Noise Pop come about?

The idea for Love Is Noise Pop began in the spring of 2008, when we found ourselves in a series of conversations about bands playing the shoegaze or indie pop circuits who seemed to be doing something quite different from the musicians with whom they shared the stage. Originally expected to be a single show, the idea was met with so much enthusiasm that it quickly grew to a multi-night festival.

Who was selected to play at Love Is Noise Pop?

For several months, we searched concert schedules, blogs and reviews, networks and collectives, and of course, MySpace, to find the bands at the cutting edge of contemporary noise-pop. Unfortunately, we could not include every band we loved, but we tried to create diverse line-ups of the very best musicians from across the noise-pop spectrum. Because Love Is Noise Pop is not for profit, we made our selections based on musical merit above any other consideration. Although our 2008 line-up is full, please feel free to send demos or links to booking@loveisnoisepop.com if you would like your band to be considered for future events.

Can I buy tickets in advance?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer tickets in advance. All tickets are sold directly by the host venue on the day of each show.
